Gear Review: PGYTECH OnePro Ultralight

New year, new camera backpack!

I’ve been fortunate to test out four camera backpacks by PGYTECH including the OneMo 2 Camera Backpack and OneGo 2 Camera Bag Series. Each has had improved my photography workflow, but as a petite lady primarily shooting in the backcountry, I’ve been looking for a sleek ultralight pack that supports moving (and shooting) fast and light in wild places.

It’s as if PGYTECH read my mind. They invited me to test the OnePRo Ultralight 20L camera backpack ahead of its global launch and share a discount code if I believe in the product (more on this below) so here we go!

INTRODUCING THE ONEPRO ULTRALIGHT 20L

The PGYTECH OnePro Ultralight is a camera bag designed for outdoor photographers and creators whose work takes them deep into wild and wonderful landscapes. In short, the backpack combines the best features from leading-edge camera bags (often made for urban photography) and outdoor gear (typically focused on activities rather than photography) into one sweet package.

Key Features

  • Ultralight and ultra durable due to its materials (high-strength nylon blend) and design (hollow suspension structure, YYK water-resistant zuppers, and a waterproof TPU-coated front pocket)

  • Ultra comfortable thanks to a suspended ventilation back panel, wide padded straps, adjustable back length and chest strap, and detachable lightweight waist belt to support heavier loads

  • Ultra accessible and designed for field efficiency with a 180° full rear opening, quick-access side opening, and expandable roll top

  • Ultra customizable padded interior with three suggested modes: imaging creation mode (2 cameras and 3 lenses), hiking photography mode (1 camera and 2 lenses), or leisure hiking mode (day hike essentials and clothing).

  • Ultra equipped with a dedicated laptop sleeve, lots of pockets and attachment points for accessories like tripods and trekking poles, and PGYTECH’s signature battery pouch with fresh battery indicators.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

My Misty Green OnePro Ultralight 20L backpack arrived just in time to kick off another season of Photography at Kimberley Alpine Resort. For these early-season photo missions at the resort, I’m packing the bag with my most minimalist setup: a Canon R5 and 24-105 f/4 lens, spare batteries, and accessories like lens wipes and brushes. I’m also packing a spare layer, a small thermos of coffee, and snacks.

Here are my first impressions of the OnePro Ultralight 20L camera backpack:

  • Easy to customize: it took me ten minutes to unbox the bag and set it up in Hiking Photography Mode, which comfortably holds my Canon R5, one lens, and accessories plus extra layers and snacks on top.

  • Sleek and comfortable: while many backpacks feel bulky and built for tall men, this bag adjusted to fit me and stayed snug while skiing powder.

  • Easy to access: The bag’s side-access design made it easy to pull my camera out and shoot on the fly. Paired with the Beetle Camera Clip, it never takes more than a moment to transition from skiing to shooting.

  • Fresh colorway: This has nothing to do with function and everything to do with aesthetics… but I am stoked about the Misty Green colorway, which feels feminine and perfectly complements my ski jacket.

more testing to come

It’s still early days with this bag, but I’m excited to put it to the test in different shooting scenarios (like videography projects) and conditions (bring on big dumps). I’ll post updates on the bag’s durability and performance at the end of the 2026 ski season, but my current prediction is that this bag will be my go-to through winter and beyond.

Full disclosure: I just signed up for PGYTECH’s affiliate program, but I have no idea how it works. I am just loving this camera backpack and want to share a discount code with anyone in the market for one.
