Watch Wildflowers in Kimberley, BC
Our little film Wildflowers continues to bloom in locations around the world. After wonderful screenings in Vancouver, Squamish, Calgary, and Ottawa, the film is finally coming to Director/Producer Trixie Pacis’ hometown!
Wildflowers will hit the screen in Kimberley, BC on May 10, 2025, at Centre64! The film will be followed by a Q+A with both Trixie and Meghan. This opportunity to dig deeper into the film’s themes will be moderated by Margie Jamieson, a longtime Kimberley resident who horsepacked in the footsteps of Mary Schäffer Warren decades before this film.
The screening and Q&A will be followed by a reception in the art gallery, where artworks from the film will be on display. Refreshments will be available courtesy of Stoke Cold Pressed Juice with Over Time Beer Works beverages available for purchase and popcorn by Flix.
About the Film
Mountain writer and historian Meghan J. Ward recruits a team of creative women to revisit Mary Schäffer Warren’s 1908 expedition to Maligne Lake, in Alberta’s Jasper National Park. Blending backcountry adventures with historical research, Wildflowers demonstrates that sometimes we must look back to blaze a better trail forward.
In addition to screening the film, Meghan and Trixie are hosting storytelling workshops on Saturday afternoon, before the screening.
